Re: Don't know what happened to my file?!?
One note. The AUP file and the associated _DATA folder need to be in the same location or folder for the show to open. Double click on the AUP file and it will go looking for its _DATA folder, but it will not look very far. It will not go cranking down your computer's file system. It takes a quick g...

Re: "Show Clipping" Options
I for one do not want fading of the clipping light for transient clipping. All the objections are covered in the options panel. If you want the light to latch, select latch. I don't. I have never stopped a recording for one transient clip. The only discussion is how to define the default sound dama...

Re: Need help with extreme noise removal/voice recovery
My best guess is freak hardware failure of some kind. Moon Phase Error. It's last quarter Autumn Moon. Time for the sound to go in the toilet. Actually, there's a clue in one of the errors the file has. There's no reason for the sound to have periodic clicking in it. USB Stick Recorders have no har...

Re: Better quality singing voice in live performances videos
Anybody can shoot video from across the room, but you can't do sound like that. One of the reasons I've been messing with tiny, stand-alone USB Stick recorders is to have something to stick close to the performer for sound capture. What you're doing violates rule 4. The Four Horsemen of Audio Record...

Re: Interviews - silencing tracks when one person is talking
And you're more likely to record the room noise and echoes. The Mic In The Middle thing works perfectly in a soundproofed studio. But even then The Big Kids use two microphones for balancing and production of one without affecting the other. I do have one. Both of these people are wearing lavaliers ...

Re: Clicking the playthrough button cause loud feedback
Depending on your mixer, it's becoming more popular (thank goodness) to be able to listen to computer playback as well as the mixer show in your mixer headphones at the same time. This will allow you to listen to Skype and yourselves at the same time with no obvious delays and feedback. Turn off Pla...
