Re: New to Audacity - HELP!!

Probably not, but you can easily import everything and install the sound packages and find out. I think you stopped just short of getting all the words in. The second track has all the voices and music running at the same time, right? There are no tools to split up a performance like that into indiv...

Re: New to Audacity - HELP!!

Can I assume Audacity will not import the WMA files right? Download and install the FFMpeg software package. That allows Audacity to open up and manage many more different types of sound files than it can do by itself. http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/faq_installation_and_plug_ins.html#ffdown Ea...

Re: No input jack support in current iMACs

A note. Make sure your adapter says stereo in and out . The ICUSBAUDIO, for one example is Mono Mic-In only, not stereo. http://www.walmart.com/ip/13214962?wmlspartner=wlpa&selectedSellerId=62&adid=22222222227000295717&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=c&wl3=52484318231&wl4=&wl5=pla&...

Re: No input jack support in current iMACs

We were sorry to see Stereo Line-In vanish across the Mac line. I use and like the Behringer UCA202 stereo SoundCard. It's good quality and generic and will easily connect to almost anything. This is one with my stereo mixer. http://www.kozco.com/tech/audacity/pix/peaveyUCA202Lenovo.jpg Other people...

Re: Real-time Audio Effects

Real Time Effects is a Future Feature Request. What you mean by Noise Removal and what we mean may be different. You're after Automatic Noise Removal where the tool automatically figures out what the noise is similar to a cellphone or Skype. Our Noise Removal requires you to tell the tool what the n...

Re: I can't get any music to mycomputer using Audacity

I don't think any of those options is it. Another Universal Truth is Audacity gets all its connections from Windows. If Windows can't find your turntable, Audacity is hopeless. Scene shifts to Windows Control Panels about which I know next to nothing. Let's see if I can find good instructions. This ...

Re: I can't get any music to mycomputer using Audacity

One other note. Audacity looks for devices when it starts, so plug in the turntable First, then start or restart Audacity.

Re: I can't get any music to mycomputer using Audacity

Audacity is a volunteer, impoverished organization with no formal support. We do OK on the forum, though.

Attached.

Yours will look a little different. This is for a Mac and I resize my windows, but that's the idea.
