Re: Joining song split in two

iTunes will do that if the CD has two separate sound tracks, such as two separate songs. Drag the two tracks out of iTunes and import them both into Audacity. They will appear one above the other and play at the same time. This is where it gets fuzzy. It's one of the Tracks > Align Tracks tools. If ...

Re: Stop audio, record feedback, start back playing audio?

I can think of one way to do this. Play the student performance in Windows Media or "Something Else." Set up Audacity to record the professor's microphone which also picks up the student's playback via the computer speakers in the room. The professor's microphone is always active. When the...

Re: Massive low quality AAC Export

From my reading of that, the show sounds muffled like you're talking through a towel?

Re: Exporting Multiple Channels

You can export multi-channel WAV files and AAC 5.1 surround. Past that I'm not sure. What sound format does the Duet require?

Re: Annoying static that wont go away

Can you post a short piece of static? Use a mono sound file, count to two or three while you hold your breath and then say something: 'Testing one two three."

Re: Echo or Tin Sound for Voice Recordings

I'm just now catching up. You plugged the same headset/microphone into both computers and the sound on the Win7 machine was widely considered inferior. You bought the Snowball in an effort to increase the quality of the Win7 machine so as to retire the XP machine. Did I get that? I think we can put ...

Re: wave files..

Audacity doesn't save sound files. To get a WAV file, you have to use File > Export.

Did you get the special stylus for your 78s? A regular LP stylus drags along the bottom of the wider 78 groove picking up noise and generating distortion.

Re: Separating Tracks for CD.

The 10,000 foot view of this is to put an Audacity label at the front of each of the songs you want to appear as an individual music file. File > Export Multiple and Audacity will whip you up a pile of music files according to computer filename , not music title. Then drag your pile of files into th...
