Import both tracks and Audacity will mount them one above the other and play them at once. Select both (Shift-Click just above both MUTE buttons). Tracks > Align Tracks > End To End. The tracks will play one after the other. When you Export, Audacity will make one single track out of that. Koz

Yes, that's a problem. Skype sound quality moves around depending on the connection that's available and whether or not it thinks it needs to do echo cancellation.
