Re: Audacity 2.0.6 Cannot Find Project Data Folder
Yesterday I opened the sound files like normal in Audacity What sound files? Audacity Projects? How long is the show and how long are the clips and segments? I haven't done anything to my computer in the mean time....no cleaning up or anything at all. No you haven't, but Win7 is constantly optimizi...

Re: Lost files
Do you have a time machine backup? If you constantly back up the Mac via Time Machine, I think it will do something like a five minute rolling backup (I could be corrected). If, however, you do it once a week like I do it, then your work is 7 days old. If you never do it, you might consider it. Koz

Re: Need Fast reccomendation
I don't know that there's anything simple or fast about this. The second longest post in the forum history was Bruno who wanted to record his Flamenco Guitar. The longest was Ian who wanted to record his voice. Both went on for weeks. The Rhode NT1-A is a terrific microphone, but it takes a sound mi...

Re: Lost files
Try a Spotlight Search (upper right of the desktop). Search for the filename. If you replaced the 2.0.2 Audacity folder with the new 2.0.6 folder then it would have been overwritten. Audacity does keep preferences in a separate place, so your settings and adjustments should carry forward, but nothin...

Re: Not hearing audio as I record
I'm not a Windows elf, but it used to work by pressing PrtScrn (print screen) key to capture the screen video. Open Microsoft Paint and paste the image. Export as a JPG (jpeg) type of file and then post it on the forum according to these instructions. http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?f=49...

Re: Not hearing audio as I record
Just ticking that audio thru box somehow causes a terrible echo onto the incoming audio signal It's not "somehow." It's a good bet you are recording all the sound playing on the computer (usually called "Stereo Mix") instead of just the tape connection. When you turn the Audacit...

Re: Sound quality assessment
Our goals may not be converging after all then. The reason ACX requires such high quality MP3 submission is so they can resubmit later at a lower bit rate. If a speaker/presenter delivers at the lowest possible rate, that's the end of the story. The show can't be adapted to any other application or ...
