Audacity insists on trying to Save an Audacity Project whatever else you were doing. I don't think there's a way to bypass the warning.

Re: Export to WAV doesn't save complete recording
Microsoft WAV files are not open-ended. They have a filesize limit of 4GB or in some cases only 2GB. When the size limit is reached, the show will become unstable or unpredictable. In some cases, it will just reset to beginning at where ever in the show the limit was reached. Audacity Projects have ...

Re: Problem with garbled crackling vocal
Something very serious happened to the machine at 1 min 7.3 seconds and it stopped managing the sound data. Everything from that point onwards is trash. Audacity 2.0.0 is six versions old. I'm pretty sure the senior elves are going to urge you to bring the machine up to the current version. http://a...

Re: Help Insert Audio (Intro) into Podcast
Open the Project and import the new intro file. They will appear one above the other and play at the same time. Use the Time Shift Tool (two sideways black arrows) to push the show to the right (later) until it starts up after the intro finishes. Since they're separate tracks, you can create fancy-p...

Re: How to resize an audio file to 100 mb
FLAC gives data compression with no sound damage, but your client has to be able to play it. All the other data compression tools cause sound damage.
You can cheat. You can get 50% data compression by delivering a mono show instead of stereo.

Re: convert Audacity Wav file (pure audio) upload to YouTube
What does YouTube want? All the submissions I've ever seen have at least one single still picture frame and park the sound show "behind" it. I don't think they have any provision for a sound-only submission.
Sound-only YouTube is called SoundCloud.

That is a little odd. Did you run out of hard drive?
From the desktop: Go > Computer.
Control-Click on the little hard drive icon > Get INFO.
Read Capacity and Available.

Re: "White noise" effect on recording
I see all the posts, all your posts are posted, I still didn't see those words, but I believe you. Do you have and use Skype? Skype loves to brutally take over sound services on the computer running it. If you like to leave Skype running in the background, you may be using Skype's Noise Suppression,...

Re: editing not working right and files won't save
Instead of just letting Audacity do its thing, force it to Save (or Export) a file to your desktop. That and just for testing, call the file something super simple with no punctuations marks.
