You could have a broken or incorrect adapter cable from your illustration. Unplug Everything from the mixer except the microphone.

Unplug all the audio cables except the microphone. Shut down Audacity. If you can't get the lights on the mixer to flash, then the mixer is delivering a substandard show. If you're using a disco mixer with two, for example SL1200s, you should have the UFO-202 set to Line rather than Phono. The output of the mixer should be flat, correct audio set for delivery to the sound system... or Audacity.
