This may not be a simple Audacity problem.

Re: No Playback Through Mixer Headphones

It's covered in that tutorial. It's pretty simple. You make a drum or click track, play it in Audacity, capture it and record it. Compare the two tracks and adjust the latency value (the amount they miss each) other in Preferences. http://kozco.com/tech/audacity//pix/GTrackEarBuds.jpg http://kozco.c...

Re: first time user, making connections

It's helpful if you tell us a little bit about your world. Fill in the information from the pink band at the top of this thread.

You can't find your laptop built-in microphone, or you plugged your microphone into your pink Mic-In connector? Which microphone do you have?

Re: Not able to record using Asus Laptop and Behringer UFO20

Many DJ decks have a pre-amp with RIAA Equalization built in. What he said. A dance mixer will sound immediately terrible if you get it wrong and your headphone feed should, too, even though they're not the same feed. The object is to move the audience, sometimes literally, with bass notes. You wou...

Re: Lost aup!

Right then. So your show is called 31, the AUP file is 31.aup and the folder with the sound snippets in it is 31_data. Are both of those in the same place or folder? Audacity will not look for the _DATA folder through multiple directories or folder layers. The AUP project manager file is the last wr...

Re: No Playback Through Mixer Headphones

Two Latencies or Delays. Recording Latency is an Audacity adjustment (see that link) that makes sure when you sing to an existing song you both start at the same time when you play back the composite. Machine Latency is much more serious. That's the one where you sing live, but your voice in your he...

Re: Lost aup!

If you have an AUP file, you can open it up in any text editor and read it. It's in "English" programming language. http://kozco.com/tech/audacity/aup1.jpg Somewhere in the first few lines of text, it will give you the name of the original show. projname= That can be a Get Out Of Jail card...

Re: Lost aup!

Probably no. There is a technique where you line up all the files in the _DATA folder according to time/date. http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/faq_opening_and_saving_files.html#crashed Not all the little snippets in the _DATA folder are sound. The system was designed for maximum efficiency and t...

Re: how to replay files for editing

saving them as AUP files That's the wrong words. You saved them as Audacity Projects which are collections of files one of which is the AUP. Double click the AUP file and it will go out and find the _DATA folder of the same name and open it into your show. If it fails, it may be because you moved t...

If that's not it, ask it again and use more words.
