Re: Looking for a certain effect

I know somebody is going to give you the lecture that there is no sound in a vacuum. Hollywood has been struggling with this for years. I would start with a muffling filter (washcloth over your mouth) and add echo or decaying repeat. I've had sound like that when somebody drops a load of lumber in a...

Re: low volume and hum using mic

is there a way to cut noise in Audacity while recording? The entire civilized world wants Audacity to apply effects and filters in real time. But it doesn't. Sorry. The best we can do is filters in Post Production, and you are warned against relying on Noise Removal. Noise Removal is a Greek Siren....

Re: Can my music file be irreversably write protected?

Can you save music in PDF? You can get an Adobe PDF license and create fully locked-down documents. You need (free) PDF Reader to open the documents and they won't let you mess with ones that have been locked. I have no idea if they do media.

Not that I know of. Anything you do out of the ordinary to sound file data is likely to prevent them from playing.

Re: Audio file mixed up after recovery

My H4 will produce sound files in WAV 44100 16 bit Stereo, or 48000 16 bit Stereo. It can also be forced into MP3/128.

Re: low volume and hum using mic

I think that's too noisy. The Art stuff is usually well behaved. It's possible in Windows for more than one sound device to be selected by accident, making the show far noisier than you think. It's also possible for Windows to change the volume of a USB sound device independent of anything else goin...

Who is Syndey Carton? "A Tale of Two Cities" character. 20 for noise reduction That's right on the edge. I pick 24dB Reduction as the signal that you need to adjust your room or system to get rid of noises instead of trying to do it in post production software. Do you have the original, r...

Re: Using Audacity For Twitch

Maybe not anytime soon. It's a re-write of the code. It's not an add-on.
That and in order to get actual real time, we'd need ASIO and that's licensed software.
