Re: Need Help With Getting My Yeti To Work For Me.
edit the sound in audacity to make it sounds so much more immersive. Who did the lead-in track? Do you want to sound more like him? I think there's basically just a volume difference. The position of the volume controls on the microphone don't make as much difference as where the Audacity sound met...

I don't think there's anything wrong with a Yeti, but shooting sound is far harder than you think.

Re: stereo recording only in 2 track mono
There's a clue. My settings don't say anything about a microphone. That's dangerous. Microphones are generally mono.
Audacity > Edit > Preferences > Devices.
I have a cousin to that one, a UCA-202. Attached is what my setup panel looks like. Does yours match?

Re: stereo recording only in 2 track mono
That's odd.
The desperation method is use the drop-down menu to the left of the top track and Make Stereo Track.
But it still shouldn't do that.

Re: low volume and hum using mic
Am I missing something? I don't know. I'm not the Windows elf. All I got is what's on the help pages. Did we do an actual sound test? Set up for an actual 10 second or less voice test. You're going to post the pure voice file, no effects or filters. I don't think the Arts will record mono, but you ...

Re: Error while opening sound device using Logitech headset
You probably have a grand headset, but the wrong recorder. Audacity doesn't always get along with games very well. Try the FRAPS game recorder software.

Re: Problems with CALL RECORDER .mov file
Audacity needs the FFMpeg software installed to open videos. Did you do that?

Re: Recording volume jumps
Games and Skype grab sound services with a clenched fist and don't let go. It generally doesn't matter what Audacity wants, it usually loses.
As near as we can tell, FRAPS is the way to go for game recording.

Re: Problems with CALL RECORDER .mov file
Did this ever happen before? How many interviews have you done like this? How did it get corrupted? Batteries go flat?
Are you on a Mac? The same Mac that made the show?
Can you post the movie file somewhere we can get to it like Dropbox or equivalent? The forum will not accept large files.

Re: Recovery error message
You reinstalled Audacity but you didn't reset Audacity. Audacity holds settings and adjustments in a place that survives installs. If you really want to flush everything you have to reset that. Close Audacity Go > Home > Library > Application Support > audacity Drag the audacity.cfg config file to t...
