Re: Strange result with line in recording: 5KHz cut off
You missed some serious information. What did you plug into the computers? It shouldn't sound tinny. It should sound muffled. AM radio works out to about 5KHz and you're not much higher than that. I haven't done an actual sound test yet, but I have a Zoom H4 and the idea of shooting a simple sound t...

I can't find anything wrong with it. It hits all three ACX specifications. I like that you didn't smash the life out of the silent stretches, that I can hear you moving and just a hint of real life background noise. I can hear you breathing. You're human!! ACX is going to listen to it before accepti...

Re: removing talking from music recording
No. You're stuck. We can't split two voices apart in the same show. Vocal Removal works on a store-bought stereo song by deleting anything in the left-right center of the song. Usually, that's the lead singer. So it doesn't "know" what a singer is. The tool doesn't work at all on a mono so...

Re: can't hear audio
If you have bouncing green sound meters and blue waves, then you probably do have a show, whether or not you can hear it. Look at the Devices Toolbar and make sure the playback system is trying to use the actual speaker or headphone. http://www.kozco.com/tech/audacity/pix/DeviceToolbar-650.jpg Koz

Re: can't hear audio
An Audacity Project consists of an AUP project manager file which tells Audacity what to do with all that stuff in a similarly named _DATA folder. Do you have the Counseling Interview.aup file there by any chance?

Re: Feedback on my song?
Did you do the singing pars, too, or only the rap voice? How did you get the backing track? It seems pretty clean. Did you buy it that way or make it from another song?
Or did you do the whole thing starting from an empty room?
