Re: autoscroll
You can make Audacity "auto flip" to the current screen on Record, but not Playback. Someone will correct me, but that's a feature request. How do I toggle to autoscroll on playback?

Re: Cannot save Project, Exporting Only last Few Minutes of
I think the idea of the second sound program is to provide a safety copy of the show so you won't have to produce it again. Since it plays OK, telling the computer to record Computer Playback (Stereo Mix) will give you a new digital copy of the show. It may still go into the mud since we have no goo...

Re: Microphone Auto-Gain Adjust?
Windows Enhanced Services naturally assumes that any sustained tones or sounds are noise and tries to cancel them out. When it's working right, it lets you talk in a noisy room. It hates music.

Re: psychoaccoustics?
It sounds like high voice compression, MP3 damage (same thing) or bad noise removal. Now we should listen to it before you tried to fix it. I'm guessing we're listening to your fix distortion, not the voices.

Re: Recording from line in stops
I would certainly start by updating to the current 2.0.6 Audacity.

When it asks you if you want to do a fresh start, to delete all traces of the old program, say yes.

I am the publisher/rights holder, so I am aware I am doing this! We knew you were the author because you said so. We didn't know you were self-published. the guy at Audible rejected it, but said it was promising. Now I'm not so sure. Oh, he was right. It is promising. As I said up the post: I could...

The longest posting on the forum is Ian in Hollywood. 39 chapters and counting. He was/is recording an audiobook. You're only on 4.

Re: Yet another total n00b
You used Noise Removal on that last clip right? That's how you got the noise level so low? The original clip you sent sounded natural and human with normal mistakes. This one sounds more cellphonie and talking into a wine glass honky. That could be the MP3 quality you sent, too. Never do production ...
