Re: Identify and suggest plugins used in this recording?

I got done herding my goats early and listened to your clip. I made an equalization curve custom for your voice (attached). His microphone is crisper than yours and I can't fully correct that without bringing up the hiss (fffff) on your clip. If you do that again, post ten seconds of mono, high-qual...

Re: Ripping audiobooks on multiple CDs

I have an allergy to iPlayers.
So that may be the problem right there. People do make equipment that does what you want.

Re: Feature Request

This may be buried in another feature request. The two tools, Amplify and Normalize work wherever they're pointed, but I don't think either of them will prevent a composite show from exceeding 0dB on export. I guarantee that's come up multiple times. I believe there's a painful work-around, but no s...

Re: Stereo Mix not recording full volume (about 60%)

Typically, Stereo Mix runs the sound all the way out to the connection to the speaker system and then turns it around and brings it back in. The down side to that is the common complaint you can either get the speakers in the room bearable or get a good recording, not both at once. Disconnect the sp...

Re: Crackling Sound - Ruins recordings - HELP please

I was going to confidently run off and claim that the system wasn't running fast enough to keep up with the data load, but I don't think that any more. Attached is a segment of your last sound posting. You have data damage, not the classic straight vertical lines of data missing. Note the flat spot ...

Re: Crackling Sound - Ruins recorgins - HELP please

All using a simple Sony portable condenser mic plugged in through the 1/8" mic in jack (Sony ECM DS70P http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/control ... &A=details) It doesn't have anything to do with the problem, but that's not a "simple" microphone. I would be surprised if any of you...

I've been messing with it for a half-hour. I can make it different bad. But not improve it.

Re: Removing reverb from a recording

There was an old posting of a novel way to use Noise Removal to help bad echo performances along.

I haven't been able to help this recording much myself, but in the absence of other tools...

Re: Mitigate overdose of reverb

However, the tool isn't not intended for this purpose after all.
No, but if you reduce the amplitude of the original work 10dB, take the profile, and then boost it back up, haven't you done the same thing?

Re: upsampling to 44,100 Hz?

You can get Windows Media to author and burn Audio CDs for you. It will only make one kind of Audio CD. You don't have to convert anything. You're worrying too hard. Chances are excellent the process and formats for Audio CD are far better than anything you're likely to do yourself unless you perfor...
