Re: Very Inexperienced & Working on Audio Book
I've been speaking with the other elves and it's probably possible to produce a reasonable track with the Shure microphone and the H4n. Note the sound file posted here: http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?p=272655#p272655 My corrected version is the next post down. I also used Steve's Voice Filter (cutoff at 100Hz - attached) and Normalize with DC removal. I cut off the unused right channel. Note that even with the smoothing...

Re: bad quality for old cassette recording
And they may not sound as good as the original tapes. An unfortunate but all too common way to transfer tapes is to jack a player into the Mic-In of a laptop. Re: Latency
The system will get around to showing your post. Stop double posting. The Yeti has a headphone connection in the base. As usual, I couldn't get the instructions to say it will support overdubbing, but it's worth a shot. Set up Audacity to play back to the Yeti instead of to the soundcard or other sy...

Re: just wondering
I noticed that. I advanced the idea many moons ago that the settings should have to do with room size and type of wallpaper, not a programming or algorithm value. Unless I miss my guess, the default echo and reverb settings don't have any relation to a normal room anywhere on earth. I remember tryin...
