First and Last segments of a compressed show are always challenging. The business of making any point the show harmonious with the segments before and after stops working.

You have to insure that Audacity is playing to something you can actually hear. It's not unusual for Windows to try to send sound out to a USB microphone. No, that doesn't work very well.
