Re: Bug: recorded audio(especially voiceovers and vocals singing) is slightly off sync when reviewing the recorded sound
It's possible for your voice track to start in sync and be off at the end. That can be much more serious as the computer drops notes here and there during the recording or other time damage. That can be another symptom of slowing down because of filling up or overload. Doesn't have to be an overload...

Re: Bug: recorded audio(especially voiceovers and vocals singing) is slightly off sync when reviewing the recorded sound
If you still have the raw performance recording (Project) with your voice on its own track, it's a simple matter of selecting that track alone and push it into sync with the Time Shift Tool (two sideways black arrows). If you don't have your voice as its own file or a Project with all the individual...

Re: Drums on every track.
Oh, right. Same problem, same device, and same poster. Resolved by changing the interface.@Koz, haven't we seen a previous post about a moukey MSc1 interface feeding back the output to the input?
KozIt must be something with the device. I hooked up my behringer umc22 and it works fine.

Re: Drums on every track.
Good detail. We need to read that again and see if we can figure out where it's coming from.

Re: Trying to remove background hiss from Sony recorder
Step one is find a portion of the performance with hiss-only. No other noises or sounds. This "profile" is the sound that Noise Reduction is going to hunt for. If you include any valuable sound in this step, that sound is going to be affected, too. This might be rough to do if all your rec...

I think engineering can come to the rescue here, too. Google "Faraday Shield or Cage." Screen Shot 2020-11-07 at 8.57.45 AM.png Mike figured out how to shield against these things a while ago. We are warned that ordinary window screening (at least in the US) is fiberglass and not metal. Lo...

Re: How to livre monitoring?
What he said, so you can't use it for live music. You can do if you have a microphone or interface with a Direct Monitor feature. In that case you plug the amp into the interface or microphone. Audacity Playthrough can still be valuable if you're being recording engineer to somebody else's performan...

during I sleep You said that multiple times now. You think there's someone attacking you in your sleep and embedding messages? The goal is to sort which method they're using? Do you sleep in an environment where that's possible? A first pass at discovering this might be record the area around your ...

Re: Drums on every track.
So as I read this: You have drums as a backing or rhythm track and the goal is to play that to your headphones while you perform other instruments to other tracks. Are the drums a real track on your machine? The problem is the drums keep being recorded in addition to the second instrument. Did I get...

Re: Need help with information about different types of audio subliminals and how to make them with Audacity
Can you tell me what kind of sound card I'd need? No. My thing is getting you published after you read an audiobook and knowing the basic engineering. I have a pretty good idea how to "Microphone." Will you be publishing an audiobook later? I'm here for you. This is where the Forum Format...
