Re: How to make vocal like Burzum?
We get a lot of request to "make my voice sound like something else." Most of them fail. This one appears to be just heavily overloaded with tons of guitars, other instruments and drums overlayed. If the problem is your voice is the wrong pitch, then you can try Effect > Change Pitch and t...

Re: Hissing(white noise) problem with USB microphone
Is that better (attached)? The microphone noise passes ACX Audiobook by itself, but your voice is low. Can you get closer or louder? You can't get too close because you might start to pop your P sounds. When you record, you should be able to put your voice in the yellow range on the Audacity sound m...

Re: Removing buzz from my audiobook
I can give you values for all of those steps and filters if you want. Remember you still have to clear the echo by yourself. What's supposed to happen is you record a passage, adjust the volumes a little and out the door. I got really close with a recording I did to make sure I could do it. There's ...

Re: Removing buzz from my audiobook
Right then. I got that clip to pass ACX Audiobook specifications. Attached. Equalize to AM radio. (screechy sound) LF_Rolloff for Speech (rumble filter) Notch for the hum sound (120Hz) Noise Reduction (hiss) Normalize to pre-compress Compressor to bring up overall volume Normalize to meet ACX. The r...

Re: Hissing(white noise) problem with USB microphone
I only used the little slider next to the track to increase the volume by +7 We don't want to hear it clearly. You are disguising the symptoms when you change the volume. Next pass go straight from stop after announcing to Export. Don't touch anything else and don't just readjust the last clip. I n...

Re: Asymmetric Waveforms via Blue Yeti mic
I bet I'm seeing something you're not. See that little downhill swoop to the extreme left of the top blue wave. That's very not right. See if it does that on another computer. If it does, my opinion is it's broken. If it clears up on another computer, then it could be a problem with your USB connect...

Re: simple question
I was going to say with that much material, I'd opt for higher quality and much larger thumb drive. Once you encode "small," you can't recover. We strongly recommend saving original archival work in perfect WAV or equivalent format.

Re: Very Inexperienced & Working on Audio Book
Look at the power plug. It's an AC connection. No problem to deliver 48V. Not the power plug. There is a version of "Phantom Power" that sent 12v up the XLR connection instead of 48v. There was one early test where they tried to send 5v for obvious reasons. There is a current Behringer mi...

Re: effects present in audio
You can't fix that kind of problem in post production filtering or effects. You have to record the work clean.
Sometimes Windows will try to help you record. That can sound very odd.
