Re: Removing buzz from my audiobook
I only see one external vent. Do your ears pop from the pressure or vacuum? Does it reverse every so often? Not many options. There was a one-port vent at a tiny gym I used to go to. It made satisfying noises and didn't do much else. I used to prop the door open. I could hear the vent motor sighing,...

Re: avid compatible with audacity
Get the Avid to export the sound track as 44100 (or 48000), 16-bit, Stereo (or Mono) WAV. That will slide right into Audacity. If you're stuck with Avid Media (Media Composer, etc) I think you're stuck. At one time Avid offered QuickTime Drivers and I think I have some older ones here somewhere, but...

Re: Voice over tinny sound needs fixed
I have seen them used in booths. I thought it a little odd at the time, but anybody who walks away with a working track is a winner.

Re: sound file taking out specifics
Audacity doesn't have very good surveillance or forensics tools. We can't bring a voice up from the noise and identify them or tell what they're saying.

Re: Asymmetric Waveforms via Blue Yeti mic
I don't know a setting which can do that. Don't run out the return clock.

Re: Meeting Acx requirements
Thank you in advance for reading my long list of blah. The long list is welcome. I have a good feel for what you're doing and a good head start on figuring out how to fix it. It was also a good thing that you included the details of what ACX found wrong with it. Once you make a noisy recording, it'...

Re: Vocal removal
It doesn't work on mono songs. If you play your stereo song in Audacity, watch the sound meters — much easier to do in Audacity 2.1.0. If the two bouncing columns are identical, then that's the end of the story. Vocal Removal won't do anything to a mono show, even if it has two tracks. You can go th...
