Re: Meeting Acx requirements
I think you have very different Audacity presentation than I do, but I can't post corrections and illustrations just now. It's really important we're on the same page while we tune your posting process. Ideally, the microphone should be about eye level and pointing slightly down at your mouth, altho...

You're in the Magic Zone where seemingly inconsequential changes have a big effect. The hum still there, but very much reduced in both clips. But then so is your voice volume. Just reducing the volume is not a cure or a panacea. The difference is so striking that I think your hum is time dependent. ...

Re: Help request! Making a 'hiss' echo
There's not of actual noise there, so it could be almost anything. How about "Dirty Noise" (attached). Does that work?

Re: Meeting Acx requirements
I'm leaving Lipstick on the Pop screen Oddly, that's one of the uses of the pop screen. To keep the talent from getting too close to the microphone. I am "Side Talking" didn't realize about the end address Mic You talk in the end like attached, although maybe not quite that close. That's ...

Either post a link to the effect, or a sample sound file of the actual effect.

Re: Meeting Acx requirements
All that and I did notice an inconsistency. According to your spells and incantations, the last thing you did was Normalize. And yet. The clip you supplied was a bit off and I "cured it" by applying Normalize (and flynwill by Amplify, a sister tool). Sound clips don't change volume by flyi...

Re: Meeting Acx requirements
it hasn't really sunk in that i could see a light coming through... The light is coming through. Neither flynwill nor I agree with the ACX video where the presenter applies so may corrections to a performance that the blue waves are unrecognizable. I don't think that's valuable in a submission. Tha...

Plain MP3 doesn't support chapter markers, but there are extensions that may do what you want. Scroll down to Chapter Markers.

Re: Problems with the new Noise Reduction replacing Noise Re
You have a fan running in the room with you, right? There is a significant fan hum at 120Hz. That's important. I changed the volume a little, applied Steve's rumble filter, created a custom filter to get rid of the fan and the clip passes ACX with no other changes. -3.2dB, -21.3dB, -63.7dB. Peaks, R...
