Re: Echo removal
Usually, what I get is the second file I am doing has a slight echo effect. That bothered me the first time I read it. There is no condition of live recording that gives you echoes unless you're trying to record in a kitchen or bathroom. http://kozco.com/tech/audacity/clips/EchoSample.mp3 People ha...

Re: Audacity using up hard drive
The average user might not notice any of this... Right. Since we're not running servers and we do drop our machines when they're running, SSD is almost always a benefit. As a straight swap-out, they're almost always cooler and take less power to run. I've found periodic backups (to spinning metal) ...

Re: Importing an export.
If you exported the work as a WAV (Microsoft), you can just import it and keep going. It will be only stereo or mono, though. If you Saved a Project, all the individual tracks in the mix would come back—however many you had.
Projects do not save UNDO.

I know I'm striding down dangerous waters here (to cross a metaphor), but the only difference between you and Sharon is about a note or two musical pitch change. She's lower. She also knows how to act like an announcer/presenter. There is no "acting" filter. If you analyzed her speech patt...

Re: Very low sound recording for interviews conducted via Sk
[puzzled look] I don't remember having problems like that. When I record from SoundFlower, I listen to Audacity. Anyway, good to know.
