Re: Audio fading & changing computer & OS

Re: Recovered file has silent channels Please help!
You should be using Audacity 2.1.0 in Yosemite. Earlier versions are not supported.

Re: How to Record without hearing yourself
Audacity > Edit > Preferences > Recording. [X] Overdub should be the only thing selected.
Make sure you're recording from your microphone and not Stereo-Mix or What-U-Hear. Stereo-Mix is the setting used to record internet sound, but you can't do that when you're overdubbing.

Re: Audiobook - Small Sample - Welsh voice
Remember you asked. The background noise is suspiciously low. Nobody records with a nearly -80dB noise floor. Right at "Chapter Forty-One" the voice is hollow-tube honky like it was excessively noise-reduced or recorded in a tiny room... or both. Make up a test clip for us, and this time d...

Re: Not able to remove vocal from mp3 file

Re: MP3 not showing correct VBR after Export
You need to help us out a little bit. Start with the information in the pink band above and then on to the show you're trying to compress. Stereo? Mono? Duration?

Re: Help! Blue Yeti high pitch noise
I have my isolator here, but haven't had time to mess with it. I have the additional problem of only creating the problem by using a special combination of equipment. Unlike you, I didn't just plug a microphone in and it started whining. I had to create the problem. Now I have to create the problem ...
