Re: Help! Blue Yeti high pitch noise
There is one other "device" available that has a very good chance of eliminating the whine. But now we're back in the land of soldering irons. It comes as a naked circuit board wrapped in static tissue and you are expected to make a little box for it and design, buy and install a separate ...

Re: Eliminating loud sound of a recording
And then there's the variation between the versions you are expected to derive intelligence by decoding, and the one that supposed to help you give up smoking while you listen. Again, if you don't know what you have, you may never know what's there.

Re: "Wave Stats" plug-in
My objection is more about the display than anything else. The two ends of the INFO panel appear to not agree with each other. I need to email or post it on KozCo. It's too long for the forum.

Re: "Wave Stats" plug-in
I analyzed one of the "Eden Green" clips and again you came up with less noise than I did, but you also flagged a peak of -3 as a violation (attached).
-3.0dB, -20.4dB, -69.4dB (classic method)

Re: "Wave Stats" plug-in
We got the same numbers on the Assassination Vacation clip. Your noise floor was lower than mine, we assume because you scanned for a lower value than I did. Yes, the clip does exceed the -3.0 peak threshold, but since I got the clip from an actual audiobook, that was probably OK. I wouldn't be shoc...

Re: Audio Channel Manipulation
The center channel is almost always dialog to avoid giving the audience whiplash trying to follow the actors.

Re: Digital audio recorder for podcasting
In the interests of double recording the interview, you could set up one of your digital recorders to record the computer's headphone split. You may only get a ghost of your voice, but you will get a good copy of the far side voice. You can always re-record your voice. The news people do it all the ...

Re: Digital audio recorder for podcasting
Occasionally I may find myself doing a Skype conference call with two guests I believe that's the point you will be paying for Skype then. Conferencing/Multipoint is where it stops being free (last I did this). .. its safer to record direct to the computer than to go initially into a digital record...

Re: Recording MPC2000 into Audacity
I have not been successful in adding it, though I would like to if possible. My Windows Laptop has no stereo connections, so I added them with a Behringer UCA202. http://www.kozco.com/tech/audacity/pix/peaveyUCA202Lenovo-650.jpg It works both directions and it's certified for overdubbing if you get...

Re: Mono audio playback of stereo track
You can plug your headphones into the Audigy SB green or black connectors (line or headphone) and listen there. No other equipment. It doesn't have to be loud. When I get to "me on the left" and you hear stuff on the right, then you know the problem is upstream from where you're listening....
