Re: My audio sample
I know it's probably inconvenient, but you still need the box. The microphone receives from the sides, too, just not quite as well and I expect your room echoes to go way up if you stop using it. I can't listen to the clips right now. A bit later. Yes, I'm not surprised that the volume went up when ...

Re: Blue Yeti - Low Quality Audio after Noise Removal
Attached the raw clip patched. Is that better? You won't get that kind of quality live or streaming, but it's not that hard after post production. What's the machine? Which operating system? Which Audacity, usually Help > About? Don't guess or abbreviate the numbers. The full version numbers are imp...

The forum elves learn not to ignore coincidences like that. We had...

Re: editing functions not working

Download and install 2.1.0 from here. http://web.audacityteam.org/download/ If you stick with 2.06, some of the tools and help aren't going to work. When the installer...

Re: NEED HELP! Guitar Recording with Peavey X-Port Interface
Without becoming an expert on your living room, what many people do when they don't have enough or the right type of equipment is do everything in post. Connect your guitar through the X-Port into the computer and record it clean. Then use the effects and filters to make the sound you like. Revalver...

Re: My audio sample
Enclosed, please find LF_rolloff_for_speech.xml.zip . Unzip it and that should leave you with LF_rolloff_for_speech.xml . That's a custom effect designed by Steve to work with Effect > Equalization. Remember where you put it. Adding Eq Curves - Open the show or Generate > Noise > OK. It's just to ge...

Re: My audio sample
Enclosed is the patched version of your clip. I'm writing up the list of how I got there. It's very close to audiobook standards, I just wasn't as obsessive as they are.
