Just to cover it. Unplug the Tascam interface while you're doing the above tests.

Re: Optimal Audio Settings
Thankfully, the VTB1 has a sound meter on it. Ignore everything else or turn it all off. I can't get the instructions to tell me. Is that gold dot on the front of the microphone a light? Does it come on? I'm surprised the Studio Projects VTB1 Pre-Amp doesn't have a place to put your headphones. It s...

Re: Optimal Audio Settings
I have to come back when I have time to read through your post. We have to look up all the devices and connections, so it's not particularly fast.

Everybody always misses this step: What are you doing? [_] I'm recording an audiobook. [_] I'm recording a podcast. [_] I'm fooling around. [_] Other ~~ You should try and avoid putting a Windows XP machine on-line. You can do production with it, but WinXP is no longer protected against on-line vuln...

Re: High Ring Sound Only When Talking Blue Snowball
Post a raw sample. Straight out of the microphone. No patching, level adjusting, effects, filters, noise-removal, etc. Don't use the volume sliders on the left of the track. Don't help it in any way.

Re: Blue Yeti high pitched buzz
Some of the people happy with the Yeti have posted that they are deliriously happy about being able to walk into a room, plunk down a Yeti on the table between them and a guest and do a show. Since a noisy public venue doesn't appear to phase them, I suspect a tiny whine in the background is a piffl...

Re: Cannot Export Audio To message
Maybe Export Multiple is a red herring. Can you do it manually? Drag-select the last label to the end of the track. The label should be sticky/magnetic. File > Export Selected.

Re: Accidentally changed track display -- how do I get it ba
You probably selected Envelope Tool by accident. That's the two white arrows and bent blue line. Those lines are volume controls and you can click on them to make the volume of your show go up and down. Note by note if you want. Select the "I" bar for normal editing (upper left in the tool...
