It's been about 12 hours and the forum runs much faster than that. I'm guessing nobody knows.

I did that correction monolog on a dead run. If I lose you, just post where and I'll catch you up.

Re: C03U USB Microphone Problem
Does the console make noise? It's very common for posters to complain their microphone is picking up key clicks and other physical game noises along with their voice.I plan to record my commentary on Audacity while playing on a console being recorded with a generic capture device.

Re: C03U USB Microphone Problem
Here's a recording sample using the 50%/0.50. Let me know what your thoughts are on this and again Thanks! My thoughts are you should be telling me where the sound meter was during your recording. That is most important. I did a correction on the last one: Mic Test 2.wav Download: http://kozco.com/...

Re: Link Latency preferences with Hosts
You could get a similar effect by setting up three individual Audacity installs and use the right one for each host. No setups, or actually one setup for each host. You can't run two instances of Audacity, but just selecting the right one at the right time should be a lot handier. I'm not sure how t...

Re: What does this limit in the blue waves mean? (clipping)
You don't know. FLAC can be a very good reduced-bit uncompressed sound file system, but if the show was made from an original MP3, you may just have two MP3 damaged sound files, one with really high quality damage. It's almost a sure bet that if you got them via download, they were MP3 at some point...

Re: Advice sought; EQ following speed conversion of tape
This has been very successful as far as it goes. Then I should keep doing it that way. There is no direct translation between tape speeds because it's not just pitch and equalization. The head resonance adjustments and velocity correction will also be off. That creaking sound is you opening a can o...

Re: C03U USB Microphone Problem
ACX didn't just make up the technical standards out of whole cloth. They are a very close cousin to broadcast sound. Generally, if you can pass one, the other is a snap.
You didn't actually say you were reading for AudioBook publication. Are you?

Re: C03U USB Microphone Problem
It still has a very low level hiss, yes, but it's low enough to pass the ACX sound quality standard. They warn you not to go overboard with corrections because you could accidentally make your voice fall part. You can make the background perfectly quiet, but then your voice may start to sound like a...
