Does your install look like attached?
From the top desktop bar, Go > Applications. Scroll down if needed. Before and after that will be your other apps.

Re: At2020 & audiobox
Are either of those clips "raw?" No processing? Straight capture and post the sound file? Without that, we're just commenting how well you read, not sound quality. If you have odd artifacts in your Noise Removal, then you may be using the wrong Audacity. Noise Removal in Audacity before 2....

Re: New Limiter in 2.1.1
I found it beneficial to precede limiters and compressors with either Amplify or Normalize to put the show waveforms somewhere predictable before acting on them. In your case, it would eliminate the need to even premeasure the show sound. Amplify to default and then Limit the peaks. You know where t...

Re: ACX check
Drag-select from about 0.5 second to 1.5 second. How do I do that? I'm not sure where to go with that. How do I find those two times on the timeline, or how do I drag-select? How long have you had your computer? The timeline has real times labeled along the top. The clip you supplied is 10 seconds ...

Re: Audacity 2.1.1 crashes on OSX 10.8.5
You didn't double click and run the disk image (.dmg), did you? I'm betting you didn't actually install Audacity. It might run, but it will be completely lost without the install.

Re: ACX check
I/We encountered an odd problem and it's rough to know where to look. I posted my half of the problem with the senior forum elves and we'll see what they say. You don't need that tool to analyze your work. ACX-Check is just the convenient vitamin pill with everything in one place. We didn't have tha...

I was about to ask. Are you in Audacity 2.1.1?
Let's see. In Windows it's Help > About.

Re: ACX check
I'm out. I expected that to work. We're crossed Audacity versions and crossed computers. Anything could be wrong. I need to full stop for a while and update my Audacity (2.1.0 > 2.1.1) and then see if the update broke anything. And trying to cure a computer problem on top of all that. New Yorker Mag...

Re: ACX check
You're going to get deep into the weeds running Windows and I'm not a Windows elf. Don't you double click the file? Is there anybody there you can ask?

Re: swirl sound after noise reduct
The old Noise Removal did that. You should be in Audacity 2.1.1 and the more modern Noise Reduction. http://audacityteam.org/download/ Make absolutely sure your profile is from a portion of the show with Only Noise. If you get a little voice in there by accident, Noise Reduction will try to remove v...
