Try opening up the video in Audacity.
You should have the FFMpeg (advanced formats) and probably the Lame (make MP3) software installed.

Re: At2020 & audiobox
http://www.kozco.com/tech/audacity/Documents/LF_rolloff_for_speech.xml.zip Download and unzip this custom filter. It's a rumble/earthquake/thunder filter. Many field sound shoot mixers have it built right into the hardware. Steve designed this non-hardware version. You have to install it in the Auda...

Re: At2020 & audiobox
Yes, but it's doable. Attached raw-patched.wav. I don't hear any artifacts and the background noise is almost non-existent. I know you don't need this, but see second attach, last sentence. You could read an audiobook. I need to drift away for a little bit. I'll post how I did it. It's strictly post...

Re: At2020 & audiobox
Thank you for your posting. I'll give a listen on The Big System when it's a more reasonable hour. It's not unusual for us to be able to create smoother works with less processing or, in some cases, custom tools.
Are you doing all this on Audacity 2.1.0 or 2.1.1?

Re: ACX check
I have postings into other forum elves for help. The weekend sometimes throws hitches into our participation. We do all actually go out and live on occasion.

Re: ACX check
But it could just be me. But it's possible it's not. Whenever a new Audacity version comes out, there are little oddities that crop up and if they're serious enough, they make a patch list for the next Audacity. I don't know that we have anyone else on Windows and Audacity 2.1.1 that's tried to get...

Maybe fixing a possibly busted microphone isn't such a bad idea.
@BonnieVO
What happens when you call the supplier or the maker and complain about this? "Harsh, overly crisp sound from my new microphone."

Re: swirl sound after noise reduct
We can get the most out of your test sound clips if you submit them before any processing. Raw clips. And use WAV, not MP3. MP3 creates its own sound damage in addition to everything else. Here's a good starting format. If you use a stand-alone file posting service, you don't need to worry so much a...

I told my machine to show me extensions. Your machine probably won't have the .app part of the labels.
