Re: Need help with aup files
Ok sorry for being so new to this. That's OK. Just tell us what's happening and in as much detail as possible. We can't see your machine, so we have no idea what it looks like when it goes wrong. The way it's supposed to work is the AUP file has all the information to tell Audacity what to do with ...

Re: Need help with aup files
Forget the folders and files. That's Audacity internal housekeeping. Close everything. Double click the AUP file and the AUP file will put all that back together into your show. Again, Do Not change any file or folder names or mess with anything inside the _DATA folder.

Re: Adjusting sound level to equalize 2 parts? Mixer Board?
We have been known to use Amplify to tell us where the highest peak in a show is. Run Amplify on the whole show and if the top number is 3, then the highest peak in the show needs 3dB boost to bring it up to 0 which is the default target value (bottom number). It's one of the three "manual test...

I was gunna say that.By "whole show" Koz means the whole selection. You could be zoomed in on part of the selection and not see the peak that prevented Amplify or Normalize having any effect.

Re: Multi track freezing during playback
Still, there is no "Windows Side." Windows is running as a Boot Camp task under OS-X. So everything you do is a game of Chinese Whispers. That's fine when you're trying to execute a Photoshop blur or complex spreadsheet, but possibly less graceful in real time, particularly with OS-X's new...

Re: Multi track freezing during playback
An MBP will not spit 14 independent tracks of audio at you. How are you getting the audio into the amplifiers? There's a piece in the middle we don't know, and managing that much audio at once could very well be where the system is falling apart.

Re: Removing breaths
The performance is claimed to have wide theatric dynamic range and noise gates tend to fall apart without a level playing field. For my breaths I use noisegate plug in.
That's one of the "easy to dig yourself a hole" tools.

Re: Passing the ACX test, BUT does it sound any good?
It makes me completely insane when somebody with a good voice and terrific presentation (the hard parts) encounters one stupid problem and the whole thing falls apart.
