Re: ACX check
I've been using "The Yeti Curse" lately, since the background whine seems to show up more with that microphone than others, although my sound example is not from a Yeti. It's from a cheap analog headset adapter. Use a computer and a USB microphone to record your voice for AudioBook present...

Re: LADSPA plugin and a few more questions
That's dangerous. Did you make sure you moved both the AUP file and the associated _DATA folder to the same place or folder on the new computer? It takes both to make a show and they won't go looking for each other.I have moved my old audacity files

Re: Space problem
No significant limit in Audacity, no. It's talking about your hard drive. Start > My Computer > right-click on c:\ > Get INFO. I'm not a Windows elf. Consult your instructions. Read the size of the drive and amount remaining or amount used. We need an actual number, not an adjective. Audacity has to...

Re: Possibly corrupted file
You double click the AUP file and it will open Audacity and automatically find the _DATA folder (not file) and open it for you. Do Not open the _DATA folder yourself. You could kill your show if you touch the wrong thing. The AUP file and the _DATA folder need to be in the same location or folder to...

Re: Distorted sound while recording
Is it still distorted after you play back the recording? It can be a bad idea to keep loud speakers running in the immediate neighborhood of a turntable. Any way you can use Headphones? Does the music fade and sound hollow? http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/faq_recording_troubleshooting.html#enha...

Re: ACX check
It's actually worse than that. Noise Reduction will not suppress the fan turning on and off. Those profiles are different. You can't suppress a truck driving by because approach and departure sound different. Even though Noise Reduction works head and shoulders better than Noise Removal did, it's st...
