Re: Multi-Track Digital Recorder vice other solutions
Especially with the emergence of podcasting over the last 10-15 years, you would think this would be a no brainer considering that many individuals utilize Skype based interviews. I can totally make a podcast with two guests and a live Skype "call-in." I just have to mix it live. This is ...

Re: Gain sliders moving during playback
If this is a real stumper, use my favorite mental trick. If somebody wrote you a big check, how would you force this to happen in a well-behaved Audacity? What condition causes sliders to move?

Re: Spectral analysis

Re: Static Noise (T Bone SC 440) Please help me :)
Active background noise (voices, traffic) is permanent. #4 The Four Horsemen of Audio Recording (reliable, time-tested ways to kill your show) -- 1. Echoes and room reverberation (Don't record the show in your mum's kitchen.) -- 2. Overload and Clipping (Sound that's recorded too loud is permanently...

Re: Verdict on the settings for new Noise Reduction?
DC motors and in particular variable cooling fans have no allegiance to power line frequency.

Re: Multi-Track Digital Recorder vice other solutions
I am assuming that for the 2 XLR inputs, where it states "Line In", this is where these inputs could go to route the audio to the ESI Maya Line-In is where you would plug your guitar (for example). Many mixers disable the XLR microphone connector when you do that. All the connections alon...

Re: Multi-Track Digital Recorder vice other solutions
Strange, I am still new to all of this but I would have figured the same device would have recorded at the same exact speed. But I guess this is why it is good not to just buy things without doing research! It happens any time you have a difference between the record and play systems. Say the sampl...

Re: 2 USB mics at the same time?
It's not unusual for headsets to require special drivers to work. In that case, it may be a stretch. They're not USB Microphones, but USB Headset Devices. You might look into voicemeeter. http://vb-audio.pagesperso-orange.fr/Voicemeeter/ We do warn people that USB microphones have their own data clo...
