Re: Pulling soundbites from an external Blu Ray player

Re: Pulling soundbites from an external Blu Ray player

How do you have the two connected?
Apparently not by the analog Stereo Line-In.

Re: DECREASING AMPLITUDE ?

You can't slide the Amplify slider to the left like the attachment? Can you type negative numbers into the number windows?

Which Audacity? We need all three correct numbers. That screen shot is from Audacity 2.1.0.

mickthefish seems to be quite happy with general settings for all of his recordings That can be dangerous if you're concentrating on the wrong thing. It's certainly possible to use Noise Reduction, pop removal, and associated filters to produce a quiet, well-behaved recording....that doesn't sound ...

Re: Windows 10, Did I stumble upon a fix?

Check that you are recording in stereo. As a fuzzy rule, the two Audacity sound meters (left and right) should not exactly match through the course of a show. If they do, chances are good you're really recording two copies of Left, and the Right sound is being ignored. "USB Audio Codec" is...

Re: Pulling soundbites from an external Blu Ray player

You got a bunch of things going against you. Apple doesn't support Blu Ray technology, I think that's still true. One of Blu Ray's crowning features is stiff copy protection, and the latest interconnect technology from Apple also supports stiff copy protection. mounted the software to allow watching...

Re: Audacity RMS requirements too low!

Achieving all the ACX values except loudness (RMS) is pretty common. How to fix it will depend on the answer to those questions.

Let us know where you get stuck. Details are good. We have to build your system in our imagination.

Re: Hard limiter in 2.1.0 for Mac

One machine has both 2.1.0 and 2.1.1 installed in different folders in Applications. That machine will let me run 2.1.0 and use the updated effects. It makes me choose when I need an effect.
