Re: menu options not available?

really don't want to lose what I've edited so far.
Can we assume you're editing a copy of the show? If the whole world turns to trash, you can start over from the original?

Re: Odd Audio Effect I Want Gone

There's no symptoms of driver-problems or audio-driver-based "enhancements" on your recording. That's where we part company. Nobody can get a -70dB noise floor in a casual recording right out of the gate. I can't do that with a good room and good quality equipment. The signal is being &qu...

Re: Need help removing thumps and bumps!

Certainly if you're that far along, applying Steve's rumble filter over the pops should help a lot. Most of the natural environment sound stays, so nobody should be able to tell what you did. A much more involved method is copy and paste room tone or normal sound over the thump. That's much harder t...

Re: Odd Audio Effect I Want Gone

Just a side note. Nowhere is it written that your equipment can't be broken. See how small you can break up the system and test each segment. Processing isn't the only thing that can produce sound like that. You can also get that if the electronic biases are off or mid-point of the blue waves is jus...

Re: Odd Audio Effect I Want Gone

Audiogram6 And what do we note as common thread running through all these changes? I'm not sure I trust a mixer whose top selling point is all the live special effects it can do. I note that I get two different mixers when I search. There is a super simple Audiogram6 with like three knobs on it and...

Re: Clicking sound on playback; overdub not working

The Recording Latency setting (the one you can actually change) is only obvious after you play back the tracks. It's job is to make the new track time exactly with the old one. It has nothing to do with actually making a second track. One of the first steps in the overdubbing tutorial is to make a p...

Re: Noise Removal - Pls help -removing hiss beyond default s

Here's a comparison between the Sennheiser ME80 and the ME66. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7_XQuqphQw0 The other microphones in question were the MKH-70 and the microphone that came apart was the AKG, long since out of print. News Gathering where I used to work went to the Sennheiser MKH-416. Sho...

Re: Noise Removal - Pls help -removing hiss beyond default s

The movie people use the Schoeps series. That's what's in his dead cat. http://kozco.com/tech/audacity/pix/Boom.jpg A friend of mine uses the Sennheiser MK series. There's one that comes apart for different directional characteristics. I don't see it in the current product line. He shoots in Florida...
