That will give you two mono tracks which will both play to both speakers. When you export, Audacity will push both tracks into one mono sound file.

Re: Alternative to ACX?
They don't say, 'No, your plot is too weak and your characters too shallow, we're not publishing this.' Neither does ACX. That's entirely between you and the rights holder and they say that multiple times. I don't know if there's a cut-off if you're reading a comic book, for example, but the compan...

Re: Audacity stops recording intermittently
I have become frustrated with "intermittent stoppage." Talk about that. It used to not stop at all and now it stops randomly and it's getting worse? It stops never to start again, or it pauses and then picks up later? The anti-virus software is not running scans It doesn't have to be runn...

Re: Alternative to ACX?
I wanted to publish it and not have it sound completely inhuman just to squeeze it through ACX parameters. Which oddly enough, won't pass ACX parameters. They have a failure called "overprocessing." Squeezing may make it past the ACX robot which blindly looks at technical parameters, but ...

Re: Recording live band - turn up mic/turn up recording leve
In My Opinion: Since the gain on the computer is rarely actual gain, I would turn that all the way up (Audacity microphone slider) and adjust the Yeti for maximum peaks in the yellow (-6) region according to the Audacity 2.1.0 or 2.1.1 sound meters. Some Windows computers can have actual gain boost ...

Apparently, I prepared it but didn't post it. (attached). Click on the graphic. Also note the furniture moving pad on the desk.

Re: PLEASE HELP!!!
I see plenty of youtubers do it with no problem and they use audacity. Ask them how they do it and then post back and tell us, so we can tell everyone else. Remember, Forum, not Help Desk. I doubt they had "no problem." We have had our share of posters with exactly the same problem you ha...

Re: can't record from mini-disk onto computer
You may have hit the happy place for Windows Enhanced Services. Windows naturally assumes you want to speak to other people either one-to-one or in conference, so it tries to identify environment trash behind your voice and delete it. Your job is to listen to environment, so it tries to remove your ...

Re: audacity is recording room noise
You are probably recording your laptop built-in microphone. You may have to set up self-recording again.
