All this is assuming your show was created properly. There was a recent poster with stereo damage in his show. Under certain playback conditions his show would vanish or sound very odd. It's possible you have that, too.

Re: Different sound quality with headphone plugged in
I think you're overthinking this. If either the playback system or the record system has software to "enhance" the experience, that effect will be part of the recording or the playback (or both). Windows Enhanced Services is legendary for "helping" you make a recording in Windows...

Re: Improve "over edited" file
it feels like we speak faster than usual You are. Each time you cut out an Ummm or Urrr, the sentence gets shorter. And yes it's exactly like patching together miscellaneous words from the last two weeks trying to make it sound natural. The rhythm, cadence and breath control of sentences is burned ...

And then there's MP3s heritage. It's full name is MPEG 1, Layer III, a video format. It likes working in even frames.
Never do production in MP3.

Re: Help with recording LIVE show from soundboard
From your description, you recorded the laptop built-in microphone. You probably don't need any more urging, but this is why you listen to the recording machine on headphones before you commit to an hour show. That's the Sound Test. volume control box It's good to know what that is. In detail. Part ...

Re: No playback with WAV file
Do you have blue waves and do the playback sound meters jump when you play the work? If so, then Audacity is actually playing the work and it's getting lost in the Windows environment or the Audacity/Windows interface. Do you have something else that uses sound like Skype or Games? Both of those can...

Re: Slim down the Click Track interface
Does one of those work out to be "3/4 time," or is that the beats per measure thing? I don't play the piano, I play at the piano. Big difference.
I don't see what the problem is with Noise click resonance - discernable pitch [q]:
I know I use that all the time.

Re: Playback of exported mp3 plays only through headphones
Audacity doesn't have a stereo phase meter. They're graphics heavy and really hard to design across all three computing platforms. But you can cheat. Using the magnifier tools... http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/zooming.html ...blow up a segment of the blue waves until you can see the individual...

Re: Playback of exported mp3 plays only through headphones
I predict (holding fingers to forehead) you created the stereo performance with the two tracks out of phase. Doing that usually requires a wiring or cable error, but your symptoms are right out of the textbook. Do you still have the original WAV of that MP3? Import it into Audacity. Use the drop-dow...

Re: Regular popping during playback
There is one. I believe the MBox and Avid both support ASIO software interface. Audacity doesn't. So the device is working with default Mac software, support and drivers, not the one it's actually looking for.
That may be a good place to start asking questions.
