Re: Improve "over edited" file

Please note we are not intentionally delaying your posts. The forum makes us authorize new posts for a while. I will try adding a "Room tone" as you suggest before finally exporting it. It's one of the odd problems with not using a studio. When the studio people stop talking, the sound cha...

Re: Need help modifying a voice (Sample Included)

Layers of vocoder, echo/reverb and the hardest part might be making the base pitch transitions. Like C D F F, E. I guess you could do that with Generate > Tone, but that would produce steps in the progression. How about make the base tones by humming into the microphone. The process is like what Pet...

Re: Make equalizer gradually fade to normal?

Traditionally, you could do that by creating two shows, one fully equalized one way and one the other. Then fade between the two shows.

It doesn't say anything in the instructions about being to change equilization on the fly.

Do any numbers work? If you set the goal to -6, so you still get 0?

Re: Speed audio to fit within 15 seconds

Fractional percent errors in playback speed are audible, particularly if they're moving like an unstable turntable. Cramming 30 seconds into a 15 second hole may cause the pitches to go up an octave. It will drive somebody with Perfect Pitch nuts.

Re: Y Axis in lame terms

Thank you for the thorough information about your problem. I can recognize several broadcast announcers without listening because their blue waves aren't even. You are one of those people. On the up side, their voices tend to sound distinctive and interesting because of the peculiar way their mouth ...

Re: USB Vinyl to Computer all sound tinny

In order of appearance: Your turntable is probably OK. No, you should not need filters or corrections in your music transfers. Audacity will not do that in real time anyway, so stop trying. This turntable plugs into the wall for power, right? The only other cable should be a USB connection to the co...

Re: File path and extension

I've worked with software that made you collect your clips in a Bin before use. Highlighting a clip in the Bin is the perfect way to display Clip Info (and a great way to keep your clips organized).

I assume nobody from Britain considered the name.

Re: Improve "over edited" file

I don't get what you mean with your first audio book. Your post is remarkably similar to people on their first audiobook. They get to the end and realize how much better they got over time and experience and want us to improve, through software, the first half of the book to match the second. Proba...
