Re: Help ME! Removing Background Noise!
I am exporting it into Audacity 2.0.6. Step one. Noise Removal in earlier versions of Audacity wasn't all that good. You should be using Noise Reduction found in Audacity 2.1.0 or 2.1.1. http://audacityteam.org/download/ That's not background noise. That's another performer in your show and those a...

Re: why no computer record on mac ?
Macs have no natural ability to record their own audio and they haven't for a long time. You can do it with a software download.

Re: Audio problems on mobile device
If that sorts the problem, you can use the Audacity Chains system to batch process a whole bunch of these broken shows while you drink coffee.

Re: Audio problems on mobile device
It's not the cellphone. It's anything with a single speaker. They're all stereo shows, right? Two blue waves one above the other when you edit them? Try this with one of the odd shows. Import it. Use the drop-down menu to the left of the blue waves under the little black arrow > Split Stereo Track. ...

Re: Metadata preservation during burning .wav files
Audacity default high quality Export format is 44100, 16-bit, Stereo which happens to be the format of the sound on an Audio CD. It's a straight-across transfer, no gains, no losses. When they made the CD format, they were competing with the golden ears and their top quality vinyl players, so they p...

Re: Help! Electronic buzzing sound on vocal recordings
Post the info from the pink band at the top of this panel. Then post a short sample of the noise. Use this general format. It doesn't have to be perfect, but it should be close. http://www.kozco.com/tech/audacity/TestClip/Record_A_Clip.html Scroll down from a forum text window > Upload Attachment > ...

Re: Trying to remove noise and have a more clear audio
So you didn't record it? Your noise reduction values are for an earlier version of Audacity. The newer versions, 2.1.0 and 2.1.1 are much better at rescues. http://audacityteam.org/download/ Attached is the best I could do. The original volume moves and I can't fix that easily. If that's close enoug...

Re: how to enable lamemp3 recorder
2.06 i believe It's good to find out for sure. 2.06 is not a standard Audacity version. Fill in the info from that pink band above. I don't know that Audacity has a plugin for live recording. It manages live recording by itself and you make an MP3, (if you wish) later. We warn people not to do live...

Re: Metadata preservation during burning .wav files
Redbook Audio CDs don't contain anything but sound. They don't even have song titles. If you play a CD in a non-internet connected player, the songs will look like track-01, track-02, etc. There are marginally standard CDs. There is a standard-ish version with text tracks, but they might not play mu...
