Re: Yamaha MX61 Synthasizer
The new MX series combines Motif XS sounds, USB Audio/MIDI connectivity and advanced DAW/VST controller features at a ground breaking level of affordability. I get all sorts of alarm bells. I'm betting half the instrument is in the computer making it really interesting to record the performance. Au...

Re: Cannot find my exported files - urgent please
exported the file as opposed to saving it as you have to and it disappears into thin air. Did you explicitly tell Audacity to save the file somewhere, or use the default location? I thought this got fixed, but an earlier Audacity version used to insist on saving work in the Application or other sen...

Re: Saving files in place
I can double-click a WAV file to open and edit it in Audacity, and then somehow save (or export) those edits, then to me it is - among many other excellent things - an audio (WAV or whatever) editor. It's dangerous to think that. If you open up a WAV file and do nothing to it and "save" i...

Control-Click on the file > Get INFO. What does that say? Do a partial screen grab (Shift-Command-4) and draw a box around the INFO panel. Post it here.

Re: Extra audio out for VIDEO sync with xjadeo
Doesn't surprise me. SMPTE Timecode was designed in the days of Quadraplex Cue Tracks, and yes, the original configuration is totally a sound signal. A station were I worked treated it exactly as a program audio signal, routing switching and all. I am a little fuzzy on what your goal was. I was able...

If the zip is on your desktop, double click and it will "explode" into the contents tastefully overlaying the original zip.

Re: Switch from Pro Tools to Audacity
Do you use any post-production processing in Pro Tools? Unless the tools are plain like change loudness, they're likely to be very different between the two programs. I think they will both do a good job with simple recording. For one significant example, I don't know if Pro Tools will apply tools a...

USB microphones are cheap and convenient. I think that's the whole attribute list.

Re: Another Blue Yeti Recording - Noise
Way too high for USB power to work properly. And that gives you one of our observations about the Yeti Curse. You can change the USB cable and the problem will very likely change and you can change the cable length and it will change. Also see: sound devices with 48 volt phantom power and thus inte...
