You are discovering like legions before you that The Personal Recorder won't record the far side of a call. What you actually got was the errors, transmission leakage and echo correction, not the actual voice. It's not recoverable.

Re: sorting 1000+ au files not working!!
Not having the AUP project manager file is not a mild inconvenience. It's sometimes the best way to trash a show.

Re: No Audio during recording
Just to be clear, there are two levels of this: Audacity is recording if the sound meters are jumping and you get blue waves. That's very different from you being able to hear it. Many people confuse those two.

Re: Noise Reduction Problem
Some noises don't lend themselves to suppression. The Yeti Curse whine is one of those. It's a digital error that has many characteristics of a baby screaming on a jet. Almost impossible to remove in post. If you critically listen to your edit, I bet it sounds choppy with noisy words. There is a too...

Re: Problems With Keyboard Input
If I had to guess at it, I would say you established a feedback pathway, like the band that doesn't know how to run the microphone at the club? ....eeeeeeEEEEEEEE. Once started, you're basically irrelevant to the process. The down side is you can't use this process for music. I admit this is the fir...

Re: Long delay after stopping recording
Someone will correct me, but I believe you can get around that delay by saving the show before you record it. That will create a show structure and save the music there instead of the cache system. Then save again when you get done and that should be much faster.

Re: Trouble importing audio
Audacity is not "network comfortable" and doesn't understand transmission delays and collision detection. Any way you can transfer the work to each local machine and open it from there?

Re: how could i loop this and make a practice track
Probably. I would be slicing off a lot of before and after to get the major downbeats to line up, but I think you can do it. For example, somewhere around 5 should loop with somewhere around 27. http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/tutorial_looping.html Since this doesn't have to be surgically accur...

Re: Help with a single PC, single mixer, single Mic setup
Waiting for posts to be approved before showing up is a bit annoying, when does that go away? If you post enough times (I forget what the number is) suddenly one day it's not there any more. You may or may not be shocked at the number of spam postings that process catches. No, I'm not interested in...
