Re: Emailing tracks

Or, you can snail-mail a CD.
Or Data DVD or Data BluRay depending on how much stuff you have and whether or not you still have an optical burner. That's not a bad way. It gives a hardware backup of the work. I still do that with some clients.

Re: Emailing tracks

Yahoo Mail attachment limit is 25MB. If I need to transfer anything larger than that I post it on my web site. I'm a dot-com. Normal people sign up for a file hosting service. Fair warning not to choose one that insists subscribers need to "register" or Log In. those are just user harvesti...

Re: Audacity + Blue Yeti -> Weird Click Sound. Your Opinion?

Many USB microphones use a USB A to B cable which is the same cable on many printers. I know the Snowball does this. You can use that as a substitute for testing. I don't remember if I posted this or not, but we're looking for the ability to change the problem on command, better or worse.

Re: Audacity + Blue Yeti -> Weird Click Sound. Your Opinion?

had adhered to the instruction to not go over 8 sec Perfectly correct, but that's 8 seconds including the two second silent stretch at the beginning. Apparently, the noise ignores silent stretches, so you don't have to include them. You can also go a bit over. The forum will refuse to post anything...

Re: Noise Reduction Problem

Attached Post Processed. That's a Noise Gate. Slice off everything below a certain volume. Please note I couldn't get rid of all of them. You can't pound on the controller like you're putting out a brush fire. In at least one case I can hear the desk "ringing" to the sound of the impacts. ...

Re: iRig Mic HD Settings for Audacity on a MacBook Pro

I can barely hear the track when I play it. You shouldn't need to wait that long. Audacity has recording meters and will display the blue waves as you perform. You'll know there's something wrong at about the first two or three words. The illustration is a playback panel, but the blue waves and the...

Which version of Audacity? Wine Glass Voices are probably cause by bad Noise Reduction settings. If you have Noise Removal settings instead, you're using an old version of Audacity.

Oh.
Satan voice. I couldn't figure out why I would need a tool to make my voice smooth and glossy like satin.

Which two Audacity versions did you use again?

Re: INSERTING PRE RECORDED AUDIO INTO A SPECIFIC PLACE

Import it as the separate track you already have. Then use the Time Shift Tool (two sideways black arrows) to slide it into position. You can just leave it there and it will play along with the dialog, change the volume for Theme Under, etc. The dialog and sound effect are separate tracks, so you ca...
