The AUP is a semi-English text file with instructions to Audacity how to open your show from the work in a similarly named _DATA folder. You need both and they both have to be in the same place or folder for the show to open.

Re: Creating Basic Audio & Video Recordings
I'm lost. Putting a track in to see if I can tweak the original audio? No, the original idea was carefully split the video sound away from the show and open it in Audacity, so you can patch, filter, help or manage it. The track is guaranteed to match the video because that's where it came from. Aft...

Re: Help Connecting Nord Lead to Audacity
If you use the keyboard to play the MIDI interpreter inside your PC instead of its own music, it may be possible to force Audacity to record the PC playback. http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/tutorial_recording_audio_playing_on_the_computer.html That's the same technique to record YouTube video s...

Re: Help Connecting Nord Lead to Audacity
That's classic MIDI. That's how my old keyboard worked with a mini version of the CakeWalk MIDI Sequencer software. Audacity doesn't speak MIDI. I use the headphone connection on the keyboard (both old and new) to connect to the computer for recording. That's how I did this 13 second clip: http://ww...

Re: change only one voice....thanks :)
want to change the voice of only one person. To what? Make it so you can't identify them? We had a long thread about that a while ago. The upshot was have an actor read the lines instead of the actual person. You can go through the show and silence or delete each word said by that person. If you in...

Re: Creating Basic Audio & Video Recordings
Couldn't you put the old track and the new one on the timeline one above the other and compare the lengths?

Re: Creating Basic Audio & Video Recordings
But other than that, there's nothing preventing you from sliding your own good quality track in there just see if it works?

Re: LOST RECORDING
Were you transplanted from the bottom of another post? We'd really rather you didn't piggyback another post. It's impossible to keep track of which forum reply is going to who. Please tell us which Windows and which Audacity you have. Describe the show. How long is it? What is it? Are you recording ...

Re: Creating Basic Audio & Video Recordings
We know from posters that the sampling rates of different recorders can vary from each other enough to create lip-sync problems on medium or long shows. I know you can easily fix that in Audacity, but how do you know when you succeed? A video editor will allow you to see the error and fix it in semi...

Re: Emailing tracks
Hopefully he will I think you used the wrong words in that post. You Zip everything: the AUP file and the _DATA folder. It's very important those two not get separated. The AUP file will not go looking for the _DATA folder. If they're not in the same location or folder, the show won't open. Koz
