Re: Setting Record Parameters?
Doesn't look good. For future, While you're recording, you're supposed to be watching the Audacity bouncing sound meters and tailor your peaks to bounce about in the -6 range http://www.kozco.com/tech/audacity/pix/RecordingMetersMinus_6.jpg Nobody will come out with a stick if you go over or under, ...

Re: Setting Record Parameters?
Well, darn. You have sinned. While that segment is on the Audacity timeline, select View > Show Clipping. See all those red lines? Those are places where you got too loud. If you magnify the blue waves enough, you will find that the tops and bottoms of the waves are clipped off (attached). Oddly, th...

Re: Setting Record Parameters?
without sound reduction Thank you for that. We can't use sound work you already patched. There's no way to take corrections out once you burn them in and with the corrections, we can't tell what broke. ACX considers any performer not using ProTools and an in-house sound booth as pretty hopeless, bu...

Re: Possible? Two mics into left and right channel into Auda
They could prove me wrong, but until anyone does, it's Mono in and Stereo Out. With ONE, you can record a single channel of audio using a specially tuned internal microphone, an instrument input for guitar, bass or keyboard, or a world-class microphone pre amp input. Listening with ONE is an entirel...

Re: re-recording a small section in a track
Stop when recording is done. Which can be any duration. So you're not directly correcting a four second error, although I guess you can edit your new dialog before you paste the end of the show back on to maintain the overall show duration. I've always said the smash-record ability is fine for goin...

Re: Both input/ouput of Skype call picked up by Audacity
It's not up to you. Skype viciously rips control of the sound system away from you while it's working. That's why it's so insanely successful. It always works. It doesn't matter what you selected, there's zero chance that's what you really got. The purpose-built Skype software packages like Pamela &...

Give us a link. There's a $400 USB apogee ONE. Is that what you have?

Re: Possible? Two mics into left and right channel into Auda
USB microphone input That's not what you said in the text. The text suggests you want to enter the computer using the 3.5mm Mic-In connection. Some oddly talented computers are able to switch from Mic-In (almost always mono) to Stereo Line-In. That's the top and bottom illustrations in this posting...

Re: re-recording a small section in a track
That's a very frequently requested feature. Is there a function on this program to re-record a section on the fly.
Last I checked, the best we can do is start recording at the cursor location on a blank track. You can use the editing tools to integrate the new track into the old one.
