Do you automatically apply all Windows updates? Windows did an update a short time ago that caused all kinds of problems.

Zoom is a security nightmare so unless an emplyer forced me to use it, I'd never use it. Which Audacity are you using? The current Audacity, 2.4.2 doesn't use the Lame encoder.
File > Export > Export as MP3.
