Re: Export Multiple Problem

when the music stops, the track continues on in silence, seemingly for the equivalent amount of time that was left remaining in the project. Someone else posted a similar symptom. I can't wait to find out what the problem is. Does it work if you explicitly select a song and File > Export Selected? ...

Re: MD recordings - tracks play to end of longest track

You should be able to select one song track by clicking just above MUTE and use File > Export Selected to get exactly that track. Watch what you're doing. If the selection goes all the way to the right instead of stopping at the end of the music, then you may need to cut the silence from the end of ...

Re: decibel data logging

No, for two reasons:

— We're not going to help you get your neighbor arrested for excessive dog barking.

— Audacity doesn't do anything in real time. No voice filters (which don't exist) or any other effects. It will record anything the microphone presents, voices, dogs and all.

Re: Subtract one track from another..

As has been posted before, cancellation techniques almost never work because the two files do not contain identical works and that can be traced to a pass through compressed formats such as MP3. MP3 gets its small file sizes by creating cleverly hidden sound damage and the process depends on content...

Re: Help fixing corrupt .wav file

You will not be posting a song on the forum. We're only good for about 12 seconds of WAV music depending on the sample rate. You'll also need to post a regular song so we know what "normal" is. An open posting on DropBox or other file service would do it. http://forum.audacityteam.org/view...

I will check about posting one here.
But you didn't try a different sample rate?

Re: How Do I Add more RIAA Curves?

Missed one. The other thing a "real" phono preamp does is provide a place to connect the auxiliary shield connection. In English, that's the thin black third wire coming out of the turntable. Note the Behringer unit has a screw terminal to connect that wire. When the RIAA system boosts the...

Re: Strange audio problem

Given those clues I found the original WAV recording. It's 37-1/2 minutes and it's a telephone recording with a representative of an investment company, so I won't be posting the whole thing. It's required reading because she gave me step by step detailed information how to manage my account. I wasn...
