Re: Cannot open .aup file... please help.

If you got a good AUP file on the original computer, then chances are good you also got that _DATA folder on that same computer...somewhere. If you no longer have access to the original computer, that's the end of the world.

Re: recording video as well as sound

You will almost certainly find that you need some pre-editing, too. Nobody can hit the first note without help. So you may need to edit the karaoke track so there is a click-track lead-in. Tick Tick Tick Tick "We're Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band." "We hope you will enjoy t...

Re: recording video as well as sound

I'm not sure I can think of a good way to do that even with post production and overdubbing..... I don't think anybody's going to be doing that in one pass in real time. Do you have a set of in-ear earbuds? Put them in but don't let the cord dangle down the front. Route the cord up from your ear, ov...

Re: Should I use Audacity if already have Final Cut X?

There should be increase in quality or something. We can't go anywhere with that. There is no "quality" slider or adjustment and just getting into Audacity and getting back out again doesn't do anything. Point us to one of your videos. Did you have any shoot training? Follow any YouTube v...

Re: Should I use Audacity if already have Final Cut X?

So, any advantages? Maybe with Audacity my sound quality will increase, I don't know. Did anybody complain about the work? If you can't point to one specific problem or shortcoming, then stick right where you are. In general, you can do far better by improving the original recording than trying New...

The profile is a big deal. If there is no good, clear profile possible on one segment, by all means try the profile from another segment.

Re: sound problem

This is a little rough. It's like "my shirt is the wrong blue." There are too many ways to go. What are you recording? Are you singing and playing the guitar into a microphone? Did you Export an MP3 sound file? Close everything, then open Audacity fresh and import that same MP3 sound file....

Re: not recording and no sound

It's a dubber. We had one of those at work. Are you sure you got the right audio connections at the cassette deck? You have one of these, right? http://kozco.com/tech/audacity/pix/RCAMiniStereo-650.jpg It's not looking good. Your current machine has a headset connection suitable for conferencing, co...

Re: How to record two casette sides to one audio cd

Multi-exported them. So you have a pile of WAV (Microsoft) sound files from side one and another pile from side two? We hope you didn't do the export in MP3.... Assuming you didn't call the two piles the same filenames, drag them all into iTunes. Create a PlayList, drag everything to the playlist, ...
