You should also know that Windows frequently tries to "help you" by processing the recorded sound. You should turn that off because the processing Hates music.

If you really, really want to use MIDI, you'll have to find the MIDI interpreter in your computer. It should be possible to press a key on your keyboard and have the computer sound the note. I wonder what kind of horsepower your computer needs to do all that at the same time? We run into that a lot. "How come Audacity pops and crackles when I record?"

LiveStreaming could also depend on the UP (server) speed of your connection, generally far slower than the Down.
