Re: Recording from two mics using a mixer
See the gray PAN controls? Push one all the way to L and the other all the way to R. When you talk, each microphone should make one of the two sound meters bounce. Assuming everything is normal and your show appears in stereo in Audacity, use the drop-down menus to the left of the stereo track and S...

Re: Syncing Audacity and Dxtory
Audacity doesn't play well with others. Many people have problems making that work. We've been recommending FRAPS software.

Re: Complete elimination of audio content of 0Hz to 15000Hz
Even WAV can have problems. 44100 sample rate WAV content isn't surgically accurate much above 17000Hz audio. To work beyond that, 44100 depends on tricks and noise, literally, random content. To get perfect accuracy for subliminals requires sampling against a Nyquist value of 2.6, not 2.0. So if so...

Re: Complete elimination of audio content of 0Hz to 15000Hz
One of the problems with silent subliminals is the inability to test for it. There are clear, pre-packaged tests for creating AudioBook content, for example, but I know of no test for subliminal work. The other very serious problem is MP3 and other compressed sound formats. They get their small file...

Re: During recording, my voice is loud and others sound far
one track M-Audio Fast Track USB mixer Again, which one? M-Audio makes about a million different USB adapters. If it's single channel USB, then it's not a mixer. Single channel is a little unusual. Point to a web page? There is an Avid Fast Track Solo, but that's designed to work with ProTools and ...

Does it help if you change the Audacity default sample rate to 48,000?

Re: Mac Pro optical in problem - stuck 44.1 + low pitch
I would have expected 48KHz to be the default. DAT and other digital machines all run at 48KHz Television sample rate.

Re: Cannot reset vertical scale without deleting cfg file
Most of these problems are zoom errors. Do a screen capture of what you're trying to do. instead of resetting to 0K to 8K. Is that a typo or did you ... words out? Which 8K is that? The left-hand edge of the blue wave display is percent. 1.00 is 100% and if you record over 100%, you can create some ...

Re: Possible to Fix Playhead
Audacity doesn't have that as one of the display options. It's insanely graphic intensive to do that, so it wasn't high on the list of optional services. That's also one reason why Audacity doesn't scrub.
