I don't think that's the clipboard. I think that's the Audacity cache system and that resets when you close the program.

Re: Record from MICROPHONE, excluding COMPUTER-EMITTED SOUND
Record from MICROPHONE Record what from the microphone? Are you singing? Recording an AudioBook? You want a studio: A comfortable, air conditioned, quiet room with no echoes. Audacity doesn't do anything in real time. So no noise reduction or filtering as you record. Once you get the bad recording,...

Re: error opening sound device
When you press Record, Audacity tries to connect to your microphone. If it can't find one, it flashes that message. We need all the information you have on that microphone.

Re: I NEED HELP, nothing is recording!

Re: Metadata Editor -- Copy "Title" into "Album"
I wonder how useful that is given nobody knows it's there. Copy/Paste is much more likely to be used and Copy/Paste has evolved into a Secret Aural Teachings thing. It's so that the Genre list can be embedded in a cell.

Re: I NEED HELP, nothing is recording!
This thing isn't a device. It's an analog microphone plugged into the soundcard which never goes away. It shouldn't be necessary to juggle devices in my opinion. The soundcard should be default.Audacity does not see a new mic that you plug in after Audacity is already open.

Re: I NEED HELP, nothing is recording!
And you're talking to a Mac elf, so this may remain a mystery for a while. I did have to run a Win7 machine at work and I thought it ran pretty well. I do know you select recording devices in the Audacity Device Toolbar. http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/device_toolbar.html I have gotten into tro...

Re: I NEED HELP, nothing is recording!
Then it's down to Windows recognizing it and then Audacity. This one? http://www.amazon.com/Condenser-Microphone-Broadcasting-Voice-over-Recording-Blue/dp/B00K8178H4 One of the comments solved it: All you have to do is plug the mic into the mic port on your computer That doesn't appear in the instru...
