Re: v2.1.1 Crashes After Opening Several MP3 Files
I have some MP3 files that have the wrong length. How were they made? Show tunes? Broadway Musicals? in some sort of private fashion rather than attaching it to this post. That's going to limit the ability to solve the problem. The idea of the forum is to expose a problem to as many people as possi...

Re: Plot Spectrum help
The graphic is pretty, but pretty much useless without the left and bottom edges. The left edge tells you how loud and the bottom edge tells you what pitch the sound is. You shouldn't go into analysis in a vacuum. The settings along the bottom edge will change the display enormously and tell you dif...

Re: Cleaning up and remastering old recordings?
It's downloaded from Internet in MP3 format You lost me. You have a bad tape of a ratty MP3 download? Tape hiss can be helped with Effect > Noise Reduction. Most noise reductions fail from overuse. Start with gentle settings and listen to what happens to the background noise and for any damage to t...

Re: I'd like to record windows sound and my voice seamlessly

I'm pretty sure you can record both with VoiceMeeter, but I'm not sure about separate tracks.

You can continue to use the headphone connection on the music system. That's how I record my keyboard.

Re: Recording appears to use laptop microphone and not line-
It's a pretty common problem. I wrote a thing about this. Since I wrote that, the two connections, Mic-In and Headphone-Out have shrunk to one Headset connection. Same problem. http://www.kozco.com/tech/audacity/pix/LaptopMicIn.pdf It's not strictly an adapter cable. Chances are good you have no ste...

Re: How to open a file without it clipping already
And Audacity doesn't apply filters or effects until after the music opens. So the original works are distorted.it does not matter what amplitude it is opened at, it will still be clipped.

Re: left channel records at lower level to rightchannel
Knowing the mixer is going to be a big deal. Some mixers have a channel balance controls, but we wouldn't know yet. i have swapped the leads from the mixer to the pc with new ones. That is much more likely to be a problem. Does your laptop have connections that look like this? http://www.kozco.com/t...
