You can continue to use the headphone connection on the music system. That's how I record my keyboard.

it does not matter what amplitude it is opened at, it will still be clipped.

And Audacity doesn't apply filters or effects until after the music opens. So the original works are distorted.

Knowing the mixer is going to be a big deal. Some mixers have a channel balance controls, but we wouldn't know yet. i have swapped the leads from the mixer to the pc with new ones.
