Re: Connecting iPad to Newest iMac
my iPad as recording source My spidey sense is telling me we need to go back one step. You can't be wanting to use the microphone in the iPad because you could just use the one in the iMac. So why do you want this connection? Lightning is terrific and neat, but it comes with traffic-copping that wi...

Re: Audacity and Focusrite Scarlett 2i2
I've never seen one behave like that. Which that? I just used a simple "headset" USB sound adapter that just flat doesn't cross. The choices are mono or nothing. The Behringer UM2 mono microphone adapter will connect as either mono (its natural state) or stereo, but in stereo connection, ...

Re: Audacity and Focusrite Scarlett 2i2
I got home and tried the Behringer UCA202 stereo USB adapter I like and it will actually cross. If I set Audacity for stereo (Device Toolbar)... http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/device_toolbar.html ... I get independent sound left and right. If I set Audacity for mono, it will produce a "Mo...

Re: Trying to highlight audio
Right at the top you should start thinking about what would happen if we can't. It's popular to think Audacity can rescue any performance, but if the show is far enough into the mud, a reshoot may be the only option. The goal is important, too. Do you want to produce a theatrical podcast, or just lo...

Re: Audacity and Focusrite Scarlett 2i2

Some virus protection systems can be hostile to Audacity shows. There's no mention of Virus Protection in the post.

Re: Audacity 2.1.1 fails to import/export projects and wav/m
This may not be the answer for all cases, but make sure the files actually have WAV or MP3 extension: Does MediaInfo tell you the correct filename? Windows is openly hostile toward revealing filename extensions. There used to be a way to "trick" Windows into telling you the correct filena...
