Re: Help I Lost My Files!

Nobody seems to really understand NTFS formatting, as there is no documentation. No modern documentation. " Inside the NT File System " Helen Custer Microsoft Press 1994 I bought it at Barnes and Noble in 1996. " Microsoft Windows NT Workstation Resource Kit " (list of contribut...

Re: Help I Lost My Files!

Embedding the AUP file inside the _DATA folder doesn't count. They're designed to be separate.

This problem regularly burns people who decide to "clean up" and "organize" all those files and folders.

Re: Help I Lost My Files!

You're looking right at it, but is it in the same place or folder as the associated AUP file, and did you change any of the file or folder names? The Project name is burned into the AUP file internally when you make the Project and once you make one it's not optional any more.

Re: First Time User

Had to use LineIn. You should not need to do that with a USB turntable, but OK. If that's what works. You're lucky you still had a Stereo Line-In. Newer Macs don't. Make sure it is stereo, the two blue waves are slightly different or even greatly different. If the up and down blue waves are identic...

Re: transferring talks on casette to digital via ezcap

There is only one critical setting. Once you overload the sound channel, the harsh, crunchy digital distortion and cracking is obvious and permanent. You should adjust the system so the loudest desirable sound in the show doesn't go all the way to sound meter 0 (on the right) or 100% on the blue wav...

Re: Help Please :)

How about we just give you regular help? When you File > Export, audacity will include all the sound tracks stacked one over the other that are not muted. So if you are overdubbing to get all the different voice and and instruments, make sure none of them have the MUTE button on the left pushed. Als...

Re: HRTLinestreamer+ : how to set sample rate

This Item is no longer available You have an orphan product. I can't find any more information than you did. So that's full stop. I recommend the Behringer UCA-202 for straight stereo line-level conversions, or the UFO-202 if you have a stand-alone analog turntable. http://www.kozco.com/tech/audaci...

Re: Extending Audacity to show A/C-weighted waveform

You can generate your own A and C weight filters. The curves, standards and values are widely available and you can transfer those values into Effect > Equalization. http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/equalization.html Save the curve and you can use it as many times in different Audacity programs ...
